After his team’s victory in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 playoffs, Real Madrid manager Álvaro Arbeloa set a record on Tuesday.
Remember that Arbeloa observed Real Madrid’s 1-0 victory over Benfica in Portugal.
The only goal of the match was scored by Vinicius Junior, giving the Spanish LaLiga giants a first-leg advantage.
OptaJose reports that Real Madrid have netted goals in each of the nine matches this season in all competitions with Arbeloa as manager (a total of 23 goals).
The latest record represents the best start for any manager at the club since Manuel Pellegrini in the 2009/10 season, who achieved scoring in his first 10 matches.
This weekend, Real Madrid will face Osasuna in the LaLiga.
