Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has issued a warning to the Gunners regarding their Premier League title ambitions.

This follows Mikel Arteta’s side dropping from the top position on the league table to Manchester City.

It will be recalled that Manchester City climbed to the summit of the table ahead of Arsenal on goal difference after securing a 1-0 victory over Burnley on Wednesday.

However, Vieira has urged Arsenal not to lose sight of the qualities that took them to the top positions this season, noting that such attributes will be crucial in competing with Manchester City and securing the title.

“I think I just want them (Arsenal) to remind themselves where they are and why they are where they are. Meaning that they are at the top of the league, they are in the semi-final of the Champions League, and you can’t reach that level with no quality, with no team spirit and with no togetherness,” Vieira told Arsenal’s website.

“When we (Arsenal) are in the last sprint, I will say it, it’s important not to forget the quality that brings them where they are today because that will help them to win.”
