The All Progressives Congress has disqualified the senator representing Rivers West, Ipalibo Banigo, from participating in the party’s senatorial primary election scheduled for Monday.
The party also disqualified three other aspirants — former Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Tammy Wenike Danagogo, Ojukaye Flag Amachree and businessman Tein Jack-Rich.
Meanwhile, the APC cleared Senator Allwell Onyesoh of Rivers East, alongside Felix Obua, Barry Mwara and Osarosaka Ebenezer, to participate in the primaries.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the party’s Rivers State Publicity Secretary, Chibuike Ikenga, advised aspirants and party members to take note of the development and comply accordingly.
