As the Manchester United team waits for Casemiro and Mason Mount to return, manager Erik ten Hag blocked midfielder Hannibal Mejbri’s January loan departure from Old Trafford.
Ren Hag’s satisfaction with his midfield options will determine whether or if the Tunisia international is permitted to go on loan from Man United this month.
In order to address his future, Mejbri withdrew from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
This season, he has made nine appearances for United.
Ten Hag admires the 20-year-old’s perseverance, but in order to help him grow, he wants to see more playing time for him.
However, United lacks options in the midfield since Casemiro and Mount are presently out.
Christian Eriksen is still recovering from a five-week absence, and Ten Hag’s team has lost its last two games without Sofyan Amrabat.
Ten Hag, according to Daily Mail, wants to wait for Casemiro and Mount to return before approving Mejbri’s exit.
