Arsenal are expected to continue strengthening their squad as they prepare to defend the Premier League title, with several notable names linked to a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Following the defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final in May, manager Mikel Arteta stressed the need for the team to reach “another level.”

Although the North London club entered the transfer window with plans for major reinforcements, they have so far completed the permanent signing of Piero Hincapie, added Illan Meslier, and finalized a deal for Christos Tzolis.

However, the Gunners could still conclude several more transfers before the week comes to an end.

Bruno Guimaraes

According to football.london, Arsenal remain interested in signing Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United. The Brazilian midfielder, whose contract at St. James’ Park runs until June 2028, is reportedly eager to leave the Magpies, with the Emirates Stadium believed to be his preferred destination.

Vinicius Jr

The same outlet reports that Arsenal are also monitoring the situation of Vinicius Jr. Although Real Madrid are reluctant to sell the 26-year-old winger, his current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu is due to expire next year.

Bradley Barcola

football.london further claims that Bradley Barcola is another player on Arsenal’s shortlist. Arteta is reportedly keen to strengthen his attacking options, making the 23-year-old Paris Saint-Germain winger, who has two years remaining on his contract, a potential target.

Ezri Konsa

The report adds that Arsenal’s hierarchy highly rate Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa. However, Villa are believed to value the 28-year-old at no less than £50 million, a figure said to exceed Arsenal’s current valuation.

John Stones

John Stones has also been linked with a move to the Emirates following his exit from Manchester City at the end of last season.

The 32-year-old England international is available as a free agent and enhanced his reputation with impressive performances at the World Cup, demonstrating that he remains capable of competing at the highest level when fully fit.
