The presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, have held a meeting with the party’s national leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, amid the ongoing crisis affecting the OK Movement.

The OK Movement, a coalition of the Kwankwassiyya and Obidient movements, was recently thrown into a major leadership dispute, with rival factions emerging within the group.

The internal rift has raised concerns among members of the movement and supporters of the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page, Senator Dickson confirmed that he hosted Obi and Kwankwaso at his residence in Abuja.

According to him, the discussions centred on the “positive state of affairs of our party and to prepare for the forthcoming campaigns, which are expected to commence later this month”.

In the same post, the NDC leader urged “all members, supporters and stakeholders of our great party to unite, remain steadfast and work together for victory for all candidates of our party”.
