National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Seriake Dickson, has held a meeting with the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, in Abuja.

The former Bayelsa State governor met with the two NDC leaders on Thursday as consultations over the party’s political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue.

Dickson disclosed the development in a post shared on his verified X handle.

According to him, the meeting was part of ongoing consultations and discussions on matters concerning the NDC and the wider interests of Nigeria.

He explained that the leaders used the opportunity to further deliberate on outstanding issues and reach final decisions as the party prepares for the next stage of its 2027 campaign activities.

Dickson noted that particular attention was given to preparations for the unveiling of the NDC Campaign Council ahead of the general elections.

The NDC national leader also called on party stakeholders, aspirants and members to remain united and set aside their differences in the interest of the party.

He urged them to close ranks and work together towards securing victory for the party’s candidates at all levels in the 2027 elections.

“Today, I met with our party’s presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, and the running mate, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, alongside the National Chairman and other party leaders.

“We met two days ago, and we met again Today to further deliberate and finalise decisions, particularly as we prepare for the unveiling of our party’s Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections,” the tweet read.
