Former goalkeeper and current coach, Dele Aiyenugba, has expressed his joy following Kwara United’s historic triumph in the President Federation Cup.

The Ilorin-based club clinched the prestigious title for the first time by overcoming Abakaliki FC in the final, marking a significant milestone for the Harmony Boys.

Aiyenugba, who now serves as the team’s goalkeeping coach, previously lifted the same trophy in 2005 while playing for Enyimba.

He conveyed his appreciation to the club’s leadership for entrusting him with the coaching role.

“I feel ecstatic and a deep sense of fulfillment to have won the President Federation Cup in my playing days at Enyimba and now as a goalkeeper coach in Kwara United,” Aiyenugba told the club’s media.

With the cup victory, Kwara United has secured a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup for the upcoming season.
