Bayern Munich have reached a final decision not to complete the permanent signing of Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea FC at the end of the season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Jackson is expected to return to the Premier League side in June, as Bayern will not activate the €65 million buy option included in his loan agreement.
As a result, both Chelsea and Jackson’s representatives are set to review his future, with the possibility of another move during the summer transfer window.
Recall that the Senegalese forward joined Bayern on a season-long loan from Chelsea last summer.
The striker was reportedly not part of manager Enzo Maresca’s plans for the current campaign.
However, Jackson could still feature for Chelsea next season, particularly if a new permanent manager is appointed.
It is worth noting that Maresca had parted ways with the Blues a few months ago, while his successor, Liam Rosenior, was also recently dismissed.
