The self-proclaimed Director-General of the non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi, has been taken into custody.
According to TVC, the arrest occurred shortly after Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court in Abuja issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
Adeyemi was expected to take his plea on an eight-count charge, marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025, bordering on alleged forgery, fraud and impersonation.
Although the case appeared as number 12 on the court’s cause list, the defendant failed to appear for his arraignment, despite his counsel, Mr. Genesis Francis, announcing legal representation on his behalf.
