Ebonyi makes it to 5th position in fiscal transparency

According to BudgIT, Ebonyi State is rated 5th out of 36 states in the federation in the States Fiscal Transparency League Table for the first quarter of 2024.

The accountability rating is derived from multiple elements that together assign a numerical value to each state.

This was said in a statement that Governor Francis Nwifuru’s Special Assistant on New Media, Leo Ekene Oketa, made available to the media on Saturday in Abakiliki.

Ebonyi State was ranked eighth in the previous ranking. The Ebonyi State Government’s diligent efforts to improve the standard of openness and caution in resource management made it possible for the 5th position, according to Oketa.
