Fake Colonel arrested after successfully staging military wedding in Lagos

After arranging an outstanding wedding with a sword-crossing ceremony, a civilian in Lagos was arrested for impersonating a military official.

Real military troops, including an army band, attended the lavish occasion.

The use of an army sergeant as the best man, however, raised suspicions and led to an investigation that revealed the name of the phony Colonel.

As a result, the groom and every other participant in the sword-crossing ritual were arrested.
