Fear Grips Benue Community After Gunmen Launch Deadly Assault

At least 13 people have been confirmed dead, while several others remain unaccounted for, following a deadly attack allegedly carried out by suspected herdsmen in Efeyi community, Ugboju, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.

Reports gathered by ZINGTIE indicate that the attackers stormed the community on Tuesday and opened fire on residents.

As of the latest update, the bodies of 13 victims have been recovered, while efforts are ongoing to locate those still missing.

When contacted for confirmation, the spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, Edet Udeme, said she would obtain further details regarding the incident.
