Food Relief: Governor donates 100 bags of rice, 10 cows and cash to NYSC members

Niger State Governor Umaru Bago has made a generous donation to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in the state, comprising 100 bags of rice and 10 cows to support their feeding during the ongoing orientation course. This gesture is part of the governor’s continued efforts to improve the welfare of corps members posted to the state.

Mrs. Martina Shuaibu-Ibrahim, the NYSC coordinator in Niger State, commended the governor for his commitment to the well-being of corps members, saying, “This gesture shows the state government’s commitment towards ensuring the welfare of corps members, enabling them to settle down and offer diligent service in the state.”

The governor’s donation is not limited to the recent gesture. Previously, he had donated 600 bags of rice and 20 cows to the corps members and approved a payment of N200,000 to each of the 1,600 corps members of the 2024 Batch “B” Stream 1. This consistent display of support highlights the state government’s dedication to the welfare of NYSC members ¹ ².
