The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has finalised arrangements for CAF coaching courses aimed at upgrading the qualifications of coaches in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, and other elite divisions.
The CAF B-License refresher course is scheduled to hold from Saturday, June 20 to June 24, 2026.
The CAF A-License course will reportedly be delivered in six modules over a seven-month period beginning from Sunday, August 2, 2026, to Tuesday, February 7, 2027.
The programme is expected to provide NPFL and NNL coaches with a pathway to meet continental coaching standards.
“This is part of the NFF’s strategic effort to build the capacity of coaches across the country,” NFF Technical Director Augustine Eguavoen said.
It would be recalled that Nigeria was recently readmitted into the CAF A-License convention after spending nine years outside the programme.
Eligible applicants reportedly include active elite-level coaches working in the NPFL, NNL, NWFL, NLO and national teams.
Candidates are expected to possess a CAF B diploma, be able to read and write in English, and also be computer literate with access to a laptop or tablet device.
Applicants are also required to provide a medical certificate, curriculum vitae and reference letter.
Twenty-five coaches who successfully pass the pre-assessment tests and B-License refresher course will reportedly receive a CAF CMS link to begin the A-License programme.
