Passenger bus somersaults along Makurdi–Yelewata road

A few kilometers before Yelewata, a passenger bus from Makurdi was engaged in a catastrophic accident, somersaulting into the bush.

Although specifics are still being gathered, reports of casualties have been made.

Residents were urged by witnesses to immediately check on loved ones who might have gotten into a car from Makurdi earlier today.

Officers on duty claimed that the incident site was beyond of their operational authority, according to one of the first responders who hurried to notify the Federal Road Safety Corps, or FRSC, office in Yelewata.

According to reports, they told him to submit the report to the Daudu unit instead.

Rescue operations and the precise number of casualties are still unknown as of the time this news was filed.
