A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has leveled serious accusations against the late Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access Bank…
It is said that the claims were made hours before Wigwe’s untimely death became public.
Remember how Wigwe, his wife, and their son perished in a helicopter crash while traveling to Las Vegas to attend the Super Bowl?
Numerous well-known individuals who talked about their personal experiences with the deceased when they were mourning his passing also mentioned his incredible contributions to the Nigerian banking sector.
Nevertheless, George asserted in a recent video posted on TVC’s YouTube channel that the dead had skeletons in his closet.
Bode George claims that Wigwe and other bank CEOs, including Tony Elumelu, the CEO of UBA, and Godwin Emefiele, the former governor of the CBN, all profited billions from the corruption in the Nigerian banking sector.
Bode George said that although the bank CEOs received monthly payments in dollars, they would spend it on their gain.
The senior statesman claimed that Wigwe and his associates would profit billions of Naira by selling the dollars to Aboki, BDC, and the black market.
He pointed out that the people who needed the money had yet to receive it.
