U.S. President Donald Trump is prepared to undertake big policy choices that might reshape America and the world. According to reports, his forthcoming actions will include dissolving the Department of Education, limiting abortion medicines, tightening trade rules, and engaging in foreign conflicts.

One of Trump’s main targets is the Department of Education, which has historically opposed right-wing ideologies. His administration may adopt executive orders to severely curtail or perhaps shut down the department, handing responsibility to state governments.

Trump has previously hinted at a crackdown on universities, describing them as breeding grounds for “Marxist maniacs.” His proposal to take over the accrediting process might fundamentally disrupt the higher education sector.

On abortion rights, Trump has remained unclear, although sources believe he is mulling a nationwide ban on late-term abortions and stiffer limits on abortion drugs. This accords with Republican efforts to remove past reproductive rights protection.

In foreign affairs, Trump has often vowed to quickly resolve the wars in Ukraine and Israel. His most recent suggestion is that Ukraine compensate the US with access to rare earth resources in exchange for continuous military help. It’s unclear how he intends to impact the Israel-Hamas conflict, but his language points to a more robust approach.

With these contentious policies in place, Trump’s likely return to power might result in dramatic changes that will elicit both support and outrage throughout the United States and beyond.
