A Nigerian woman has accused a Benin man of getting her pregnant and refusing to accept responsibility, saying he must marry her.
In a viral video posted on the social media platform X (previously Twitter), the lady described how she met the man online and, after dating for a while, he invited her to visit him in Benin.
She stayed at his place for several weeks before returning to Lagos.
When she returned, she developed feverish symptoms and, after taking a test, realised she was two months pregnant.
When she contacted him, he denied responsibility, stating she was seeing other guys.
The lady, on the other hand, remained steadfast, claiming that he was to blame for the pregnancy and must accept responsibility.
Her statement: “My name is Presh Baby, known as Sugar Mummy in Lagos. I’m tired of hiding this, I can’t keep it to myself anymore.”
“I met this guy online in the second week of November, and we hit it off. We started dating online, and eventually, he invited me to Benin to visit him.”
“So, I went to Benin in November and spent over three weeks, almost a month, at his place before returning to Lagos. When I got back, I realized I hadn’t seen my period in December, and in January, I started feeling sick and found out I was pregnant—two months along.”
“I told my guy that I’m pregnant. I missed my period for two months, and he told me I wasn’t serious and should go to the other men I had been with.”
“But I was with him from November to December. What do you guys even want? After telling me you love me and can die for me, now you want to abandon me and the child? No, that won’t happen.”
“I won’t let you go. You have to come and take responsibility for the child you put in my stomach because my parents won’t allow it.”
“How do you want them to feel when they find out I’m pregnant? You have to marry me. It must happen. If I come to Benin, you won’t like what happens next. Anyone who knows this guy should tell him to come and take responsibility for what he has done to me.”
