A woman, Olajide Opeyemi, has told a court that her estranged husband, Ajinifuja Moruff, allegedly recorded a naked video of her and shared it with members of his family and one of her church sisters.

The allegation formed part of proceedings before Justice Funmi Asaolu, where the couple’s marital dispute and the welfare of their two children were brought before the court.

Opeyemi told the court that she left the matrimonial home in July last year following alleged domestic violence and persistent disagreements with her husband.

She was seeking an order compelling Moruff to provide financial support for their two children, aged seven and three.

“I brought him here because of the children’s upkeep. I left his house last year July because of violence and so many other things,” she said, alleging that her husband subsequently failed to pay the children’s school fees.

Opeyemi further alleged that Moruff assaulted her on several occasions during their marriage.

She cited one incident in which she claimed she was attacked with a broom.

According to her, Moruff later signed an undertaking promising not to assault her and to take responsibility for the children’s welfare.

She also made a further allegation concerning the alleged recording and distribution of a private video.

She claimed: “He made a video of me when I was naked and sent it to his father, his mother and one of my church sisters.”

However, Moruff denied abandoning his responsibilities as a father.

He told the court that he had evidence showing that he had made payments towards the children’s school fees and other aspects of their upkeep.

The proceedings continue as the court considers the allegations and the competing claims concerning the couple’s marriage and the welfare of their children.
