The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections.

Yilwatda made the declaration during an appearance on Sunday Politics, a programme aired on Channels Television.

He argued that Tinubu was a better choice for the presidency than the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

The APC chairman also credited the President with introducing tax laws that he said had benefited some of the country’s poorest citizens.

“We have done our polls that give us real statistics across the states showing that President Tinubu is going to win this election.

“We are closing gaps every day. Even though we are leading, we said we need to improve.

“My problem with the opposition is that they only do shows. They only come on television and gather people. Now they don’t even have rallies. They will just gather about 10 people to come out and wear some T-shirts,” he said.
