Ladipo Johnson, a spokesman for Rabi’u Kwankwaso, has disclosed that the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, is dissatisfied with the leadership crisis currently affecting the OK Movement.

Johnson made the revelation during an interview on Arise Television, where he admitted that internal disagreements had emerged within the campaign movement.

He, however, maintained that the development should be seen as a temporary challenge rather than a serious threat to the Movement’s political ambitions.

Johnson noted that the dispute has become an unnecessary distraction at a period when supporters should be concentrating on expanding the Movement’s presence across the country.

According to him, the disagreement arose from differences between certain members and the leadership of the Movement.

He cautioned against actions that could deepen divisions among supporters of the proposed Obi-Kwankwaso alliance.

Johnson warned that the lingering disagreement could undermine efforts to build a formidable political platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He also disclosed that Peter Obi had been informed about the situation and was unhappy with the ongoing dispute.

“Yes, we have, may I call it a distraction at the moment. It is not such, in my own humble opinion, that would lead you to take unilateral actions that could possibly scuttle or bring bad blood within the support base of the person you purportedly want to become the president of the country.

“I saw the presidential candidate last night along with the DG. He’s not happy about the whole situation,” he said.
