The names of the soldiers killed by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, who are banned, have come to light.

The military high command announced on Friday that it had confirmed the deaths of five of its soldiers who were stationed at the Obikabia Junction Checkpoint in Obingwa Local Government Area, which adjourns the Aba city in Abia State.

Two sergeants, two corporals, and one lance corporal are among the deceased.

The combatants are:

– Sergeant Charles Ugochukwu (94NA/38/1467)

– Sergeant Bala Abraham (03NA/53/1028)

– Corporal Gideon Egwe (10NA/65/7085)

– Corporal Ikpeama Ikechukwu (13NA/70/5483)

– Corporal Augustine Emmanuel (13NA/70/6663)

In addition, two military patrol Hilux vehicles were set on fire, the attackers took five AK-47 rifles, and two civilians were injured.
