After a group of armed men broke into homes and abducted multiple individuals, the Chikakore community in Bwari Area Council is in a state of fear and sadness. Families have been saddened by the horrific tragedy, and many are demanding immediate security measures to stop similar assaults in the future.

A security guard was among the casualties of the attack, and his home was one of the first to be invaded. He related his story, saying that when he heard the gate trembling, he realised right once that something was off.

“I was inside when I heard the gate was shaking, and I said to myself that this is not the wind,” he told Channels Television. “So, I quickly went to the window and saw someone trying to jump into the house. Then, the rest of the gang entered and positioned themselves around the compound.”

As they moved around, the kidnappers warned one another to shoot anyone who attempted to resist, he continued. He turned to his wife and broke the news to her in that time of terror and despair.

“When those people came, I knew that my own had finished. I told my wife to take care of my children.”

The community was shocked by the incident, and residents expressed frustration over the inadequate security response brought on by poor roads. A woman whose husband was abducted expressed her suffering by stating that when she woke up, her spouse was gone and a strange man was in her room.

The woman claims that one of the armed men hit her head with a gun. She clarified that she is frustrated about her husband’s kidnapping and has contacted authorities to assist in his rescue.
