Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has directed security agencies across the state to maintain a 24-hour alert and approved the establishment of a Joint Security Task Force to tackle emerging security concerns.

Adeleke announced the measures following a State Security Council meeting chaired by his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, to assess recent security alerts reported across the state.

The governor said the Joint Security Task Force would enhance collaboration, intelligence sharing and swift response among the various security agencies.

He also stated that his administration would provide the required logistics and other forms of support to enable the task force to commence operations.
