Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu is set to be at Old Trafford for Manchester United’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace this Sunday.
According to Mail Sport, Dorgu has completed his £25.2 million transfer to the Red Devils.
The 20-year-old arrived in the UK on Saturday to undergo a medical and has agreed to a five-and-a-half-year contract.
He will become Ruben Amorim’s first signing and will watch the match from the stands as United face Palace.
Amorim views Dorgu as a versatile option, capable of playing as a left wing-back, left-winger, or even on the right side of the pitch.
In addition, United have also brought in Arsenal center-back Ayden Heaven to strengthen their squad.
There were plans to loan left-back Tyrell Malacia to Benfica after Dorgu’s arrival, but the deal fell through as the Portuguese club couldn’t meet the loan fee and buy-option terms.
United are also looking to add a forward, aiming to finalize Marcus Rashford’s loan move to Aston Villa.
