A shoemaker in Aba, Abia State, allegedly abandoned his wife and child due to what was said to be ongoing hardship that prevented him from meeting his family’s nutritional needs.
According to reports, a day after the occurrence, the body of a guy who went by the name Udokwukwu, who lived in Osisioma with his family but was from Onicha Ngwa in the state’s Obingwa Council Area, was discovered.
According to reports, he was upset over his wife’s alleged adultery when she went to his store to get food money that he was unable to supply.
Locals claim that after being enraged by the wife’s approach, he went back home with a can of gasoline and poured it into the apartment while the family was already asleep and set it ablaze, killing his wife identified as Mary and their little baby.
Family members later discovered him dead the next day, believing that he may have been killed in retaliation by unidentified vengeful individuals for killing his relatives.
As of the time this report was filed, the state command had not yet responded to the killings, despite the fact that the local police had placed the bodies in a local mortuary.
