Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsí has emerged as the current frontrunner in the race for the 2026 Golden Boy Award.
Tuttosport has published the latest standings ahead of the final voting process, which is expected to take place later this year.
Cubarsí has already added a major individual honour to his growing collection after being named the Best Young Player at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
His Barcelona teammate, Lamine Yamal, occupies the second position in the current ranking but is ineligible to win the award this year due to the competition’s regulations.
Yan Diomande is currently ranked third, while Warren Zaire-Emery sits in fourth place.
Ayyoub Bouaddi completes the current top five nominees.
The eventual winner of the prestigious Golden Boy Award is expected to be announced in November.
