Iran’s latest round of missile attacks on Israeli territory has left five people dead and 92 others wounded, according to a report from Israel’s emergency response agency, Magen David Adom (MDA).

The strikes hit four different sites in central Israel, including the city of Bnei Brak, located near Tel Aviv.

The MDA said those killed included “two women and two men around the age of 70, as well as one additional fatality.”

“So far, MDA teams have evacuated 92 injured persons to hospitals, including a 30-year-old woman in serious condition with facial injuries, six in moderate condition, and 85 in mild condition,” the emergency agency added in a statement.

Rescue workers continued to operate at two of the affected locations as of the latest update.

The barrage, launched early Monday, was in retaliation for Israeli airstrikes that had targeted key military and nuclear assets deep within Iranian borders.

This exchange has escalated tensions to unprecedented levels, marking the most direct and intense confrontation yet between the two longtime adversaries. The situation has raised fears of a wider conflict in the Middle East.

In an earlier warning, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that “Tehran’s residents will pay the price” if Iran launched attacks on Israeli civilians.
