Kogi State Polytechnic in Lokoja has taken disciplinary action against 279 students for various infractions. The Academic Board has expelled six students for examination malpractices, while 273 others have been asked to withdraw due to poor academic performance.

Expelled Students:

– Daniel Onuche Gabriel from the Department of Business Administration for impersonation

– Yaro Abdullahi Nma from the Department of Accountancy for impersonation

– Four students from the Department of Mass Communication:

    – Jaja Julietu for possessing extraneous materials during examination

    – Usman Abdulgeniyu for possessing extraneous materials during examination

    – Gimba Aminat for possessing extraneous materials during examination

    – Otitoju Taiwo Timilehin for possessing extraneous materials during examination

The withdrawals span across 20 departments and 42 programs. The polytechnic’s Director of Public Relations and Protocol, Uredo Omale, disclosed that the decisions were made at the 120th meeting of the Academic Board. Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, Chairman of the Board, commended the Academic Board Result Verification Committee for their diligence and emphasized the institution’s commitment to upholding academic excellence and integrity
