The office of the UK Prime Minister has revealed specifics regarding a phone call between PM Keir Starmer and President Donald Trump.
The two had a phone call on Sunday regarding the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
The office reported that the two leaders talked about the current situation in the Middle East and emphasized the need to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to stop disturbances to global shipping that are causing worldwide cost increases.
The office stated that Starmer expressed condolences to the US regarding the loss of its soldiers in the war and that both leaders concurred on staying in contact.
Additionally, it disclosed that Starmer had a conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Sunday and deliberated on the Middle Eastern situation, particularly the effects of the ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz on global shipping.
Keep in mind that President Trump on Saturday urged other nations, the UK included, to intervene and help with the worsening situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
