Several suspected bandits have reportedly been neutralised during a security operation in Keta community, Zamfara State.
The incident was said to have occurred after operatives of the Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF, engaged armed men loyal to notorious bandit leaders operating within the area.
Details of the operation were contained in a post shared on X on Tuesday by security analyst, Bakatsine.
According to the post, the bandits were linked to terror-related activities around the community, including attacks on residents, looting of property and destruction of farmlands.
The CJTF operatives reportedly targeted the group during a clearance operation, leading to the neutralisation of several suspected fighters loyal to commanders identified as Kachalla Juli, Uti and Ibrahim.
Similarly, two notorious bandit leaders were reportedly killed following a violent clash among armed groups in Tsarika village, Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to the post, the confrontation broke out between rival bandit factions, resulting in the deaths of two identified gang leaders, Kachalla Liti and Kachalla Sani.
