The Nigeria Police have rescued the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, alongside her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul.

They were rescued alive during an operation carried out on Saturday.

According to Channels Television, two suspected kidnappers were killed during a gun battle with police operatives, while two firearms were recovered from the gang.

It would be recalled that the victims were abducted around 7:30 a.m. on June 3, 2026, while heading to drop the children off at school.

Channels Television reported that police sources disclosed that sustained intelligence gathering and tactical pressure forced the kidnappers into a confrontation with operatives, leading to the successful rescue of the victims.

The source further revealed that security operatives are still searching surrounding areas for fleeing members of the kidnapping syndicate, some of whom were believed to have escaped with gunshot injuries.
