A woman and her children have been rescued by operatives of the Osun State Amotekun Corps after they were found wandering along the Gbongan-Ibadan Road.

The family was reportedly discovered by Amotekun patrol officers on Thursday night while moving along the busy highway.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Osun Amotekun Corps, CSA Yusuf Idowu Abass, the woman and her children were taken to the corps’ office in Osogbo to ensure their safety.

Abass said the woman was unable to provide clear information when questioned about her identity, family and where she was coming from.

He further disclosed that the woman was unable to feed the baby in her care, leading the corps to keep the family in a secure location.

The Amotekun spokesperson appealed to members of the public who may recognise the woman or possess information about her relatives to contact the corps’ office in Osogbo.

“Anyone with useful information is encouraged to contact the Amotekun office,” Abass said.

The corps also urged members of the public to circulate the information widely in order to assist efforts to identify the woman and reunite her and her children with their family.
