Paul Ibe, an aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has alleged that United States President Donald Trump has been informed about court records linked to President Bola Tinubu’s alleged legal history in the United States.

Ibe made the allegation in a post shared on his X handle on Wednesday, claiming that Tinubu’s 60-page United States Department of Justice documents relating to alleged heroin trafficking and the forfeiture of $460,000 were brought to Trump’s attention through a US lobbying firm, Batten Von.

According to Ibe, Nigerians have a right to know the complete facts surrounding the matter.

“Finally, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s @officialABAT 60-page DOJ files on heroine trafficking and forfeiture of $460,000 has been brought to the attention of @realDonaldTrump courtesy of a US lobbyist firm, @batten_von.

“Manuel Noriega on my mind. Nigerians deserve to know the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The best is being saved for last,” he wrote.

However, Ibe did not present any evidence to substantiate his claim that Trump had been briefed on the documents, nor did he indicate whether the US president had taken or intended to take any action regarding the alleged records.
