Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has condoled with families who lost loved ones during the violence that accompanied the recently concluded governorship election.

Adeleke expressed sympathy to the affected families while calling on residents of the state to come together and heal from the painful events.

The governor urged political stakeholders and citizens to put the violence behind them and focus on rebuilding unity and peaceful coexistence across Osun.

He acknowledged the pain suffered by families who lost relatives and sympathised with those who were injured or otherwise affected by the unrest.

Adeleke appealed to residents to avoid further tension and embrace reconciliation, stressing the need for the people of Osun to work together despite their political differences.

He urged political leaders and their supporters to prioritise peace and the collective interest of the state.

The governor maintained that the election should not become a reason for division among the people, calling for healing and unity in the aftermath of the violence.

Adeleke also expressed hope that the state would emerge stronger from the experience by promoting peace, understanding and cooperation among its people.

He called on all stakeholders to support efforts aimed at restoring calm and ensuring that similar incidents do not recur in future elections.
