Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen is moving closer to setting a new benchmark as Galatasaray’s highest-scoring foreign player, ZINGTIE reports.

The striker has registered 68 goals for the Turkish Super Lig club, placing him third in its all-time goalscoring rankings.

Former Argentine international Mauro Icardi tops the chart with 77 goals, while Romanian football icon Gheorghe Hagi occupies second place with 72 goals for the Istanbul-based side.

Osimhen moved nearer to the milestone after scoring twice in Galatasaray’s 2-1 derby triumph against Fenerbahçe on Monday night.

The 27-year-old has started the season in outstanding form, contributing nine goals and three assists in nine matches across all competitions for Okan Buruk’s team.

Given his continued scoring exploits, Osimhen will be looking to add to his tally, climb further up the club’s rankings and establish himself among Galatasaray’s most prolific goalscorers.
