Ghana has been selected to host the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, DAILY POST reports.

It will be the second occasion the West African nation is staging the tournament.

Ghana previously hosted the U-20 AFCON in 1999, where the host country clinched the title before its home fans.

The Black Satellites defeated Flying Eagles 2-0 in the final.

A total of twelve teams are expected to take part in the competition, which will also serve as a qualifying tournament for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

South Africa are the current holders of the biennial competition.
