Ada believed she had found peace when she married Emeka.
However, she was unaware that she had also married his mother.

From the beginning, Mama Emeka detested Ada.
She attacked her family history, berated her food, and even accused her of being a witch!

She poisoned Emeka’s mind every day by telling him: “Ada is the reason your business is slow, Ada is hiding things from you!”

Ada was crying and pregnant as she left his house with little more than her clothes after Emeka, who had been misled by his mother’s remarks, sent her packing.

Two years later, Emeka was married again to a woman his mother had chosen for him.
However, trouble began immediately!

The new wife was abusive, rude, and lazy.
