Godwin Emefiele, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), is currently in Lagos at the Ikeja High Court awaiting his arraignment.

For allegedly abusing his position and giving himself billions of dollars, the embattled former governor of the top bank is being tried.

On Monday (today), Emefiele and his co-defendant, Henry Isioma Omole, are scheduled to be arraigned before Justice Rahman Oshodi on 26 new counts.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, alleged in the charge stamped ID/23787c/2024 and dated April 3, 2024, that Emefiele misused his position from 2022 to 2023.
