A woman described by ARISE News as Nigeria’s Ebola index patient has reportedly been flown out of the country for medical treatment aboard an air ambulance. Sources cited by the news outlet said the evacuation occurred early Monday morning through the private jet terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The report stated that a convoy comprising three vehicles, including ambulances and diplomatic vehicles, arrived at the airport’s private wing. Airport officials were said to have restricted access to the area, while the news outlet later reported obtaining video footage of a medical evacuation aircraft being prepared to transport the woman.

According to the report, the woman is the wife of a Swiss diplomat serving in Nigeria. However, as of the time the report was published, the Federal Government had yet to issue an official statement confirming the reported evacuation.
