Ebonyi female development centre coordinator kidnapped by unknown gunmen

Unknown gunmen have abducted Mrs. Blessing Adagba, a female Development Centre Coordinator for Ngbo Central in the Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

Tension and worry have been evident among the inhabitants ever since the occurrence.

ZINGTIE learned that the Ohaukwu LGA has been plagued by a number of security issues, including cultism, murders, wanton destruction of precious property, and the kidnapping of innocent civilians by gunmen, among other things.

According to information obtained, the female Development Center Coordinator was kidnapped in her village early on Thursday morning.

DSP Joshua Ukandu, the public relations officer for the Ebonyi State Police, verified the kidnapping when called.

He clarified that the Anti-Kidnapping Squad is making every effort to ensure the victim’s prompt release.

According to local witnesses, the kidnapping happened at Okposhi Eheku, in the Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, at around midnight.

The eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, stressed that, “Around 12 a.m., a group of men disguised as soldiers invaded the residence of Blessing Adagba. They demanded she open the door, but she refused, questioning why soldiers would come at such an hour.”

It was learned that when the kidnappers displayed their guns and began shooting, the victim had to give up and unlock the door for them.

Additionally, it was learned that security personnel and stakeholders in Ohaukwu are allegedly organizing to guarantee the victim’s safe rescue.
