Matheus Cunha’s transfer from Wolves to Manchester United is reportedly in its “final stages,” according to Globo.

Cunha had been linked with a move away from Molineux back in January but opted to extend his contract with the club at that time.

The Brazilian forward has been in high demand after a standout season, scoring 14 goals and contributing four assists in the Premier League.

Despite Wolves struggling this season, Cunha’s impressive performances have played a key role in keeping the team on track to secure their Premier League status.

Manchester United now looks set to make Cunha their first signing of the summer for a reported £62.5 million.

Negotiations have reportedly entered their final phase after making “significant” progress.

A key factor behind United’s interest is Cunha’s familiarity with Ruben Amorim’s favored 3-4-2-1 system. Amorim has frequently praised Cunha for his versatility and goal-scoring ability.
