Nigerian striker Aliyu Ibrahim has officially joined Major League Soccer (MLS) side Columbus Crew.
Ibrahim made the move to the Black and Gold in a player-for-cash deal from fellow MLS club, Houston Dynamo FC.
Columbus Crew secured Ibrahim’s services for $450,000, with the potential for the fee to rise to $750,000 based on performance-related incentives. Additionally, Dynamo will retain a percentage of the transfer fee should Ibrahim be sold in the future.
The striker has signed a one-year contract, with an option for two additional years.
“Aliyu is a young and dynamic player whose experience in MLS and the international level adds valuable depth and gives us another quality attacking option,” said Crew General Manager Issa told the club’s official website.
“We are excited to welcome Aliyu to Columbus and look forward to integrating him into our squad.”
