Manchester United’s recent signing, Matheus Cunha, has shared details of his conversations with Brazilian legends Ronaldinho and Ronaldo Nazario before joining the Red Devils.
Cunha made the move to Ruben Amorim’s squad from Premier League side Wolves earlier this summer.
The Brazilian international revealed that both iconic players had encouraging words about his transfer to Manchester United and spoke highly of the Premier League club.
Speaking recently with Sky Sports, Cunha said, “‘Wow’, Ronaldinho said, ‘Wow, it’s one of the biggest club in the world now? Yeah. You deserve that, honestly, I have the opportunity, and then, hey, I don’t know if I can say this. Yes, you can. It’ unbelievable club.’”
Cunha also revealed what Ronaldo said to him about the move, adding: “And Ronaldo, yeah, talking about the atmosphere around the Old Trafford, everything like that, the fans, and then, you know. It felt inside of me already, like, it is my perfect movie, but after they said it, like, yeah, the check is already there.”
So far, Cunha has appeared in two Premier League matches for Manchester United, facing Arsenal and Fulham.
