Nigerian content creator and founder of GehGeh School of Marriage, GehGeh, has addressed the criticism trailing his marriage to his partner, Mary.

GehGeh, who has come under intense criticism on social media, reportedly tied the knot in a private ceremony on Saturday, a development many claimed contradicted his previous views on marriage.

Following the emergence of videos from the wedding, several Nigerians, including some of his followers and notable celebrities, have continued to react to the development.

While some accused him of contradicting his own teachings, others claimed his views on marriage had negatively influenced their personal relationships.

Responding to the backlash, GehGeh questioned followers of his online marriage platform, asking whether he had ever instructed them not to get married.

He wrote on X, “I never for once told y’all not to get married. Did I? If yes show me a video of me telling you not to marry.”

Soon after the post, social media users began sharing old videos in which GehGeh allegedly declared that he would never get married or remain in a relationship, while also describing marriage as “financial mistake and scam”.
