Former Portugal assistant coach Anthony Barry has rated England captain Harry Kane above Cristiano Ronaldo, citing the Bayern Munich striker’s exceptional ability in front of goal.

Barry described Kane as the finest striker he has worked with, placing him ahead of other elite finishers, including the Portuguese football icon.

Kane enjoyed an impressive 2025/2026 season with Bayern Munich and England, scoring more than 70 goals for club and country.

Speaking about the England captain’s finishing ability, Barry said: “He [Harry Kane] is the best ball striker I have ever worked with, better than all the great finishers I have ever worked with. Cristiano and all those players,” as quoted by Sportskeeda.

Barry currently serves as an assistant coach under England manager Thomas Tuchel.
