Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, has revealed that he entered politics to help people rather than to make money.
El-Rufai said this in 2027 as he called on Nigerians to overthrow the All Progressives Congress, APC.
On Saturday, he said as he rallied young people in Sokoto State to back the opposition coalition.
El-Rufai stated that the APC should not be let to hold onto power in 2027 because it threatened Nigeria’s unity.
The important opposition coalition member characterized the APC as “incompetent and clannish,” emphasizing that its continued rule threatens Nigeria’s unity.
He said: “I didn’t get into politics to enrich myself but to serve. And when a government ceases to serve the people, it is my duty as a senior citizen to not only speak out but take action to reverse the situation.”
The African Democratic Congress was embraced by the opposition coalition in an effort to prevent the APC from regaining power in 2027.
