The 2025 winners are Barry Strauss, a renowned classicist, military, and naval historian; Christopher F. Rufo, a multifaceted writer, filmmaker, and commentator; and James Piereson, a distinguished philanthropic leader.

Strauss, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and series editor of Princeton University’s Turning Points in Ancient History, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m honoured beyond words by this recognition by the Bradley Foundation, which has done so much to advance constitutional liberty and civic education in the roots of American exceptionalism.” He added, “I am honoured, too, to join the company of the distinguished men and women who are among the Bradley Prize winners.”

Rufo, a senior fellow and director of the initiative on critical race theory at the Manhattan Institute, has been a vocal advocate for promoting intellectual diversity and combating ideological extremism. Piereson, also a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, has made significant contributions to philanthropy, higher education, and public policy.

The Bradley Prize is considered one of the most prestigious awards in the fields of conservative thought and American exceptionalism. Past winners include notable figures such as Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, historian Victor Davis Hanson, and economist Thomas Sowell.

The 2025 Bradley Prize winners will be formally recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., later this year
