Tension flared in a Nigerian community after a man allegedly forced his wife and her three children out of their residence at night following a DNA test that reportedly indicated the children were not biologically his.

The incident, which is said to have occurred recently, has since generated widespread criticism, with many condemning both the timing and manner of the eviction.

Eyewitness accounts shared online suggest that the woman and her children were left stranded late at night, raising serious concerns about their safety.

Reacting to the situation, a concerned woman criticised the man’s actions, emphasising that such decisions should not be taken in anger or desperation.

“How do you send a woman and her three kids out at night just because a DNA test says they’re not yours?. If you’re married under the Act, that’s a crime. Forceful eviction of your spouse can land you in serious trouble—you could even face jail time.”

The development has reignited conversations around paternity disputes and the importance of following legal procedures in resolving marital conflicts.

The woman further advised that despite the emotional impact of such discoveries, adherence to the law remains essential.

“Yes, the DNA result is painful. But the right step is legal—file for divorce and seek compensation if necessary. Throwing them out at night is unlawful and dangerous. If anything happens to them, you’ll be held responsible.”

In recent years, similar DNA-related disputes have gained attention online, often highlighting the need for lawful and humane responses.
